Taylor's Wand: Sea Drift

Sooooo, my friends and I dressed up for the Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows premiere, and my friend Taylor needed a wand...so I made her one!

I made it using a wooden dowel rod, Supersculpey for the handle and details, and than painted it with acrylics.

Taylor really loves Mermaids, so I did my best to make it look somewhat like driftwood you'd find washed up on the beach. The swirls are reminiscent of flowing water, waves, and the white paint made it look nice and sun-bleached.

It was about 14 inches long, and had a nice weight and balance to it. I was kind of sad to give it away, haha, but she loved it so it was all good.
